What is the ECU Training Hub?
The ECU Training Hub is European Chess Union's online learning platform dedicated to chess education, training, and professional development for players, trainers, and chess enthusiasts.
Who can use the ECU Training Hub?
The platform is open to: Chess players of all levels, Chess trainers and coaches, Arbiters & Organisers and Chess Managers, National federation members, Chess enthusiasts, Educational institutions
How do I create an account?
Visit ecuhub.eu and click on the "Register" button. Follow the simple registration process by providing your basic information and creating login credentials.
Is the platform accessible worldwide?
Yes, the ECU Training Hub is accessible to users worldwide. Webinars are offered in various languages according to schedule, but also on request from groups/clubs/associations.
What is the capacity of the webinars?
To ensure quality each webinar can accommodate from 10 up to 30 participants (except for the chess masterclasses, which can accommodate more participants). When the maximum number of participants is reached, the registration for the respective webinar will be closed and you can register for the next one. If the minimum number of participants is not reached participants will be forwarded to the next webinar or they will be refunded.
What types of content are available?
The platform offers: Online chess courses, Training materials, Educational resources for chess teachers, Professional development programs, Chess in Education materials
What follows after my registration and payment?
After you complete your registration the respective ECU Commission will be informed. Two (2) to five (5) days before the start of the webinar you will receive an email with all the necessary and detailed instructions.
Are the courses certified by ECU?
Yes, official courses are certified by the European Chess Union, and completion and title certificates are provided upon successfully finishing the programs. Course pages specify certification details.
Who creates the content on the platform?
Content is created and verified by: ECU certified trainers, Chess experts and professionals, Educational specialists
What do I need to access the platform?
You need: A stable internet connection, A desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone, An updated web browser, A valid email address
How much does it cost to use the platform?
The platform offers: Free basic access to certain resources, Premium content with specific pricing
